Hi there, minna~
It's been what, 2 years since I last updated my LJ?
The first thing that I've got to say is, this new livejournal sucks. My god, how did it become this bad? Or maybe I'm still not used to all the new features. But all the good old features are gone! How the f am I supposed to work with that?! For example, where is that easy to spot, drop-down, edit list of posts feature that's just like blogger's edit posts feature?!
Now, I have to go to my livejournal itself to search for my posts instead of a simple list, with dates, of all my previous posts.
Damn, I thought the last update was bad, 2 years ago, after 2 years of not opening up my own livejournal, I get this shit. And what is this LJ chat, now? Ugh! I used to love livejournal for its simplicity and its wide array of useful features like Userpics, moods, etc. Now, this. Ugh.
Aaaanyway.
H'yall. It's that time of the year when I have time to spare for fandom and updating blogs. So, here I am.
I've been in and out the fandom, for the last 2 years. I've been barely keeping up with it for the last couple of years. BUT, I still somewhat know what's going on, from time to time.
Although, now, I've lost track of how many new singles and albums have been released since the last time I was actively following KAT-TUN and HSJ. And that last time was when Koki got kicked out of JE.. That was probably early last year? So, how many singles and albums have been released since then?
Something that got me blogging here again is, how long have I been in this fandom? To be honest, I cannot really recall the first time I started becoming very active in the fandom, years ago.
I know, it was the year Inoo entered Meiji University (and I'm so glad he graduated) and it was a year before former A of KAT-TUN left the group AGAIN (I remember how devastated I was because I didn't know what will happen to the group after that) and before cartoon KAT-TUN was cancelled (remember how good that show was?! Oh, all the outdoor shoots were hilarious! Especially episodes leading up to the grand, record breaking BTR concert).
So, that must’ve been what, 6 years ago? More than 6 years?
Wow. I’ve been following the Johnny’s Entertainment fandom for more than 6 years. How is that possible?
Six years ago, I wouldn't have thought that I'd last this long. Well, technically I didn't because I am no longer as active as 3-4 years ago. But every 3-4 months, I'd update myself with what's happening in the fandom, so I guess, that still counts? Lol!
Six+ long years and I still like this crazy, restrictive, old-fashioned agency that produces some of the best people I've ever gotten to know, whom have helped me go through some pretty difficult times in my life.
I've stopped actively hunting down each and every video clips, 5 minute takes, papparazi shots, etc. I have stopped spending hours, staying up late to ‘gif’ seconds-worth of video or to edit a scanned photo (Ironic, because, now, I have a more powerful graphic editing programme for the purpose of doing all that, but I rarely use it these days). But, I do miss those days. The thrill, the excitement and the joy of it all.
Alas, life is a lot different now and time is something I cannot simply spare, anymore.
And, speaking of blogs.
On fyinookei...
It's been stumbling around in my head for quite some time, now but I've been contemplating on shutting it down since no one updates it and I have no time to monitor it, either. And frankly, I don't have the motivation to look for someone else who can take over that site.
However, that fansite is one of the main reason why I'm in the HSJ fandom and why I liked Inoo so much (still do). A lot of sweat, blood, money and time were sacrificed and dedicated to keep that site active for the past few years. When I've spent that much effort for one guy, you can see why I've placed Inoo on a pedestal.
It's still my baby and it's hard to kill off something that precious. For now, I'll still keep it there but I'm not sure for what.
I'll say this here, loud and clear, I don't have time to keep it updated. When I'm at work, there's no time to even get a peek at the fandom cos I'm either on site or chasing a story or in another state/region for an event/interview or in an area with limited internet access.
And when I'm not working, I'm at home, catching up with the dozens of TV series I've picked up or reading the dozens of books I've left on hold for months/years.
I wish I have enough energy to make myself update it, but I don't. (omg, I sound old here. XD)
So, please do not expect any updates from me, for a time, indefinitely.
So, I guess that's all for now.
In RL, I've decided to go on a social media detox. Meaning: I'm pulling myself away from social medias and instead of checking them every 5 minutes, I try to limit it to just every other hour, and instead of publishing every single, useless, no-one-cares, FB wall update/Tweet, I've gone awol on it. (Note: Although, yes, I still check all these platforms because my job requires me to be up-to-date with social happenings around the country/state/world/region).
Since, I'm going on this detox thing, I find that I have more time to properly compose my thoughts and turn them into blog posts rather than 140-characters posts. Hence, I'll probably be blogging more either here or in my RL blog. Depending on how often I can get my hands on new stuff in the fandom or how much time I can spare for the fandom.
XD
