I used to have magic
I used to be able to say 'abracadabra'
And everything I need would appear
As if from thin air
Like pulling a rabbit from a hat
But now its sawing me in half
I used to juggle fire
Swing from dangerous heights
And do flips in mid-air
As if flying
Now all I do is swallow swords
I used to read minds
Pull a card from my deck
And I could tell you what it is
As if I were telepathic
Now all I do is guess
I used to gaze into a crystal ball
See images of far off events
And know all the wonders that could come in time
As if I could see the future
Now all I see is you
And what was when we were together
So, I think I know what I am to do with my life. Changing my career once again, but back to a more basic one.
I am very interested in becoming a pilot.
I have to put myself through schooling for it, but I want to fly commercial planes.
It just seems to fit. I love to travel. I love seeing new places and doing interesting things. I love flying. I love being above the clouds and looking at the mountains they create in the distance.
But, most of all: I shiver every single time I see one flying close by. Taking off, landing.
That is what really gave it to me. Working with the planes on a daily basis at work has made me really appreiciate the whole science of it.
I want to fly them.
And, of course, get paid possibly over six figures for it. Plus, all the other benefits. I've thought alot about it and I can't find too much about it that I would dislike. I want to really enjoy whatever career I choose for as long as I am in it. This idea is now the most likely to do that for me.
I am also thinking of becoming a flight attendant in the very near future... as soon as January, possibly.
All for the love of flying, plus making double then what I make now and the benefits... It just makes sense. I have to write my resume and pass an interview (which for attendants its like a casting call) and then go to training for 4 weeks at least. It seems like a good step in the right direction and will help me with school payments, plus being able to talk to the actual pilots and get some inside info.
