Come on May 17th, get here fast. I want this gall bladder out now. It is doing nothing except act up pretty much endlessly the last week or two. I can't eat anything without pain afterwards, I feel this constant tightening across my diaphram. The pills my doc gave me only help a little bit. There's nothing I can really do. If I don't eat I get sick and pass out. If I do eat I am in agony.
other then that not a ton going on with me. Working like normal, taking care of Liam who is growing like a weed and playing wow. I have new Liam pics that I have to upload from my camera tonight. Will post those as soon as I can.
I have all but put my main character (Erynia level 70 NE Rogue) on the back burner. I can't really do much with her until more people in my guild at least get into the outlands (ie level 60+). Right now we have just enough people at level 70 that we could put together a decent five man instance run...IF people were online at the same time. As it is there is only like once a week that all our high levels are online at the same time.
soooo, while I wait, I have been dicking around leveling a couple different alts. I switch around on them a lot because my method of leveling them is to grind on mobs until their rested xp is gone (or push my way through the level if there is only a few bubs left of the level after rested xp is used up) and then switch to the next character, work off it's rested xp and so on and so forth. My alts are as follows:
Sarynx, level 47 Gnome Mage
Lesia, level 31 Draenei Priest
Bynx, level 26 Gnome Warrior
Priosan, level 15 Human Warlock
I fully plan on making the mage my next level 70. However, the reason I am leveling a priest and a warrior is so we have two of the hardest to find classes (of which are properly specced) waiting on the shelf that can be drafted for a group in a pinch.
We have two people seriously playing priests right now (one level 70 and one that is plowing quickly through the levels and currently level 32) but both of them have expressed no interest in being healers. Both are shadow spec. The 70 respecced to disc/holy and tried that out for a couple weeks, but basically ended up just not playing the character for most of those few weeks because she absolutely HATED being a heal bot. The one leveling stated out right that he sucks as a healer and plans on staying shadow. This normally wouldn't be an issue because Pallies the way they are right now heal better then Priests ever would...and Doug is holy spec. He actually likes doing the heal bot thing. BUT with the new huge patch pending, they are completely screwing over/nerfing pallies and their ability to heal is going to be cut in half. If that has a dramatic change over his ability to heal he is respeccing to proc and there goes our one dedicated healer. We have a 70 druid who is willing to respec from balance to resto if we need it (and dear gods do we need it) but if we plan on trying for Karazhan at any point in time...we need at least three dedicated healers for the run. Shadow Priests won't cut it. They would be there taking up one of the DPS spots alone and there would be others that would be healing.
That and our 70 priest just transfered over her 61 Hunter which is her real main...so she is going to want to play that more and more anyway.
I am leveling the warrior for the same reason. We have one level 70 warrior who has decided that he hates tanking and respecced to fury/arms. We have one warrior in his mid 50s who actually likes tanking and another in mid 40s who says he wants to tank, but is hardly ever on. Kara I believe requires two dedicated tanks...not rogues wearing plate (ie fury warriors).
The Mage I am leveling for myself. Our guild leader as well as one of the other officers both have level 70 rogues as well. The only mage we have is one of our players leveling one and it's in it's high 40s. That's where my mage is as well, but I am thinking that I level quite a bit faster then this other guy. At the end of the month i will be able to transfer my mage back to Alexstrasza and then we will have a high level mage for use for instances as well. Who knows, I might even decided to make the mage my main. I really love playing her, and the desirability for mages in groups seems to be much higher then for rogues.
I'm also trying to figure out a new name for my Gnomish Mage for when I transfer her back to the server. Her name is currently Sarynx. I'm not sure if I like that enough to keep it or if I should take advantage of changing the name since I will have the opportunity to do so. I already made another character on Alexstrasza by the name of Sarynx so when I do do the transfer I will get the name change window.
Here are some of the names that I am considering:
Jinxy
Jinx
Jinkies
some variation of Pixie
Wynx
...or just delete the lowbie named Sarynx and keep her name the same.
Yeah I just don't know. If anyone has a good Gnomish name to suggest, please reply to this post with your ideas!
Other then that...yeah boredom a lot of the time sets in when I try to play Erynia. Because I'm not in a huge raiding guild and I am currently waiting for my fellow guild mates to actually get into the outlands...the only hope of progression for her is the tedious rep grind to get the nifty blues and purples from that because I can never get instance runs anymore. All my former guild friends are always too busy with their own new guilds runs...and I hate PUGS with a passion. I would rather solo grind then PUG.
is it bad that I am exalted with two factions and revered with one faction as a result of pure solo grinding and collecting of tokens? *sigh*
and it is effing cold in the office today. I have been snuggled in my cuddle wrap blanket all day.
Oh yeah and today is the start of Doug's Shot week. Be wary about calling his phone. Call me if you need to get a hold of either of us.
