Story of Mom: Navigator
Writing down an old memory with mom that popped into my head-
Back when I was young she took us to the pool a lot (she insisted my sister and I both knew how to swim at least a little- though we ended up both being fairly strong swimmers as a result), and the movie Flight of the Navigator was... I think it was recent? Or we'd seen it recently off rental? Probably rental.
Anyway!
In the shallow end of the poll she'd sit with her legs like a 'chair' and her arms out like armrests, and I'd sit there and would 'direct' her and she'd say "Navigator! Navigator!" while moving around the pool like that and it was a ton of fun and I can remember it so vividly right now, like, even the touch.
