I had this picture of Zeroia as a Leaf person done by Kory Bing of the webcomic Skin Deep, famous for it's mythological types. When she had an offer to do commission drawings myth-izing people, I decided to try and find one unusual- and while digging through Hawaiian mythology I found mention of

This is really neat! I'd never heard of leaf-persons, but the concept and the art are both fascinating and lovely!

Yea, I wanted to do something different and maybe plot related, thought of Dryads, wasn't quite happy with it (Kory's version is basically a wood-person, and most traditional depictions are, like, just 'green human with planty hair' or such), starting flipping through myths, and bingo :)

There's also one made of flowers, but I decided leaf is more fitting.
