Awwww *melts* How lovely! Poor Dean...hugs make everything better =) I really enjoy how you described each of the scenes. Wrote them very well and they really made me connect with the story =)

"Because he knew that nothing would be as important, and he would find Dean if he so much as whispered his name. The vehemence of this thought surprised him but he reasoned it was because it was the task that had been given to him."
--- EPIC! *high five Castiel*

"Castiel had once before rested a comforting hand on Dean’s shoulder, and he lifted his right arm to do it again.
Perhaps due to a combination of the alcohol and the unimaginable amount of stress he was under, Dean mistook the action and turned, throwing his arms around the angel in an embrace.
Castiel tentatively brought his arms to Dean’s waist and curled his hands experimentally into his shirt. In that small contact, he felt the tension leave Dean’s body with a deep sigh. Motivated by this reaction, he snaked his arms further around Dean’s back and tugged him closer, slowly transforming his own tension into a healing warmth.
Castiel was overwhelmed by the feeling of the embrace. The feeling of comfort offered and accepted. The physical feeling of the contact itself. He never imagined he would know these things, and that they would feel so good."
--- OH MY GOSH! This hug...made me so unbelievably happy to read. I feel all warm and full of joy now. Such a touching moment...so necessary for Dean to heal <333

“Wait. You came in through the door. Did you walk to get this?”
“Yes.”
“Why? When you can pop in and out of places and scare the shit out of people.”
“I wanted to see how it felt.”
--- Absolutely cracked up with what Dean said...the popping in and out of places xD LOL, love it!

Nicely written! *adds to memories*

Dean is fun to write. And Castiel, just by virtue of being an entity (an angel) that we obviously know nothing about, he can be written in so many different ways. I'm amazed at all of the ideas that have been brought up in fanfic. It's so creative.

My take on things here is that Castiel is experiencing emotions that he's never experienced before, and it's all because of Dean so he associates these new and wonderful feelings with Dean. Naturally his affection for Dean would grow. Also, he believes that all of it is happening because of God's will. So, as he experiences these things and progressively becomes more 'human', he doesn't see himself doing anything wrong because he sees it as the task God gave to him and he doesn't question it.

And who can blame him? He gets Dean!

Thanks so much for reading. Glad you enjoyed it.

Fanfic is the best because we can do all the things that will likely never happen on the series *naughty grin* You can explore so many different ideas, which started on the show and expanded from there thanks to fanfic...which can then be expanded more. There is such great depth to them both, so that makes writing even easier and even more fun!

I really think you nail Castiel on the head as far as how he's experiencing things and his beliefs on these experiences. Really well said!

T'was my pleasure to read and I hope to read more by you someday!
