This is a MTL work. Just for fun.
Episode 52
Physical method. As I thought about that word, I suddenly remembered a funny post I saw on the Internet. This is the story of a person who fed raw onions to an experimenter, hoping to hypnotize him into thinking that the onions tasted like apples, and then fed him more and more onions until he said they tasted like apples.
A thought crossed his mind that he could be the experimenter of apple-flavoured onion hypnosis. Finally, he was able to fully understand Uijae's smile.
'I'll give you physical therapy until you tell me you don't remember anything.'
So, Choi Gyodo answered triumphantly. Like a quiz show panellist who is sure of the correct answer.
“Where am I?”
To that question, Uijae also nodded with a happy face. It was a 100-point answer.
After reaching an agreement peacefully without bloodshed, Cha Ui-jae dragged the unconscious kidnappers and lined them up. He left out the guy with moustache who threw sea water on his face that passed out with a nosebleed.
Anyway, Ui-jae planned to pick the one who was the strongest and most knowledgeable among them and wake him up to torment him a little. Find out information and pay back what was done to you. Isn’t it killing two birds with one stone? If you give them some sea water, it will be the icing on the cake.
Choi Gyodo, who was sitting in the corner watching the part-time worker choose a scapegoat, raised his hand in a polite manner like a student giving a presentation in front of a professor.
“Part-timer worker. I don’t know where this is or what happened, but may I open the door?”
“…. The door?”
Ui-jae glanced back at Gyodo. Choi Gyodo clasped his hands together and smiled mechanically.
“My ability is to open doors. Through the door, many people can move to wherever they want. Anywhere, as long as you have the street name and address.”
'… Wouldn't it be nice use it as delivery service?'
Ui-jae's eyes sparkled like a professor who discovered a talented person worth taking to graduate school. The first thing that occurred to me was that I was a part-time worker at a hangover soup restaurant. But I soon erased the business plan that had popped into my head. There's no way there's no penalty for such good abilities.
In particular, most of the system's tricks and spatial movement-related skills had one huge flaw. Ui-jae grabbed the one that looked the strongest and lifted it up by the collar and asked.
“Is there any penalty to your abilities?”
"Yes? Oh, there is one.”
For some reason, Choi Gyodo's eyes were trembling slightly. Ui-jae nodded his head as if telling him to speak quickly.
“It’s okay, so just say it first. I need to know the penalty so I can decide whether to ask you to open the door or not.”
“Uh, um. I mean.”
"Yes?"
It was a moment when I saw a guy who seemed to have strong limbs tied to the iron chair and simulated how hard that part-timer has punchued him. Choi Gyodo, pale and tired, shouted.
“I will faint!”
"Yes?"
I was just about to punch the guy in the face to wake him up, as he seemed to be strong. Choi Yoo recited his ability penalties as quickly as he rapped.
“If you know the street address or map coordinates, you can open the door to that location, but you use the current location as the central axis, right? The farther the distance between the central axis and the moving space, the longer you will be stunned!”
“If you open the door, can multiple people pass through?”
"Yes? yes. As long as the door lasts.”
“How long does it last?”
“Until I faint.”
Ui-jae was deep in thought. The ability to move multiple people through space at once is very valuable. Moreover, it seemed like a serious penalty, but it was not a serious penalty.
'Let me check it out.'
He took out his cell phone to check the address of his current location. However… his precious cell phone screen was shattered!
'crazy.'
Ui-jae quickly unlocked the lock and checked the status. However, the shattered screen only showed something like Yoon Ga-eul's kaleidoscope instead of the original screen... . Although his body was S-class, his precious cell phone was not S-class and seemed to not be able to withstand the stick massage.
Uijae called Nexby in a distraught voice.
“Hi, Nexbee. Please tell me the street name and address of your current location.”
―Search for current location road name address based on GPS information.
Luckily, it wasn't completely broken, and Nexbee responded properly. Nexbee faithfully stated the address. Ui-jae closed his eyes, looking at the colorful liquid crystal display.
‘Mr. There's a long time left until the contract ends... .'
He muttered in a gloomy voice.
“If we calculate it based on the address, we just called. Do you think you’ll faint for a few days when the doors open from Incheon to Seoul?”
Choi Gyodo quickly answered. “A day and a half? I think I’ll be unconscious for about two days at most.”
Even though the distance from Incheon Port to Seoul was not that far, the intensity of the fainting was stronger than I expected. Uijae asked the question purely out of curiosity.
“Then, if we were to open it in Washington, D.C.… .”
Choi Gyodo's eyes were moist. For some reason, the reaction was unusual. No matter how you look at it, it was the reaction of someone who had already experienced it. Choi Gyodo wiped his tears with the sleeve of his clothes and spoke politely.
“It wasn’t in Washington, but we opened it in Toronto, Canada because the guild leader was on an emergency business trip.”
"You did?"
“When I opened my eyes, the seasons had changed.”
“… … .”
… As it is a good ability, the penalty is very strong. Ui-jae took out his cell phone with a broken screen and tried to check the time, but failed, so he asked Nexbee for the time. 2:20 AM. It takes about two hours to take a taxi from Incheon Port to Haejangguk Restaurant. If you include the time to call a taxi, the time to prepare for business is limited. Ui-jae scratched his temple with a frown and then turned his head towards Choi Gyodo.
“I’m really sorry… Could you please open the door?”
“Oh, yes. Sure!"
“If you faint, we will take you to the hospital, so don’t worry.”
“Oh, you don’t have to worry about that.”
The romantic opener placed his index and middle fingers on both temples and closed his eyes tightly. He seemed to be concentrating. Finally, he stretched out his hands forward and shouted loudly.
“Open, door to anywhere!”
It was a skill name that seemed to infringe on two copyrights at the same time. It was even childish. However, the skill effect was great, as if in inverse proportion to its name. A large wooden gate appeared in the middle of a container filled with people lying down and groaning.
"Hoo."
Ui-jae, who was truly impressed, began tying the wrists of the unconscious gang members together with cable ties. Since it was a hassle to move them one by one, he planned to drag them out all at once. After tying all the steamed buns, we opened the bags the big guys were carrying and checked the contents.
The bag was filled with thickly packed white powder. Ui-jae stuffed them all into his inventory and put one on his back.
'If it's like this, I've probably taken everything we need.'
Ui-jae nodded toward Choi Gyodo as if preparations were complete and motioned for him to open the door.
The romantic opener, Choi Gyodo, was actually as pale as a zombie right after he opened the door. He approached the door with trembling legs as if he were falling into hell and opened it.
When I opened the door, what appeared…
“… … .”
“… … .”
It was Lee Sa-young.
'… why?'
Why are you out here? Sa-young was sitting at his desk in his spacious office, fiddling with his cell phone, but for some reason he had taken off his gas mask and was wearing glasses. The mother-of-pearl nameplate on the desk shone brightly.
‘Waves Guild Leader Lee Sa-young’
Judging from what it looked like, it seemed to be the guild leader's room of the Wave Guild. Ui-jae was overcome by the urge to immediately close the door and take a taxi using Pado's corporate card. If possible, double the price.
‘I told him to open the door, so he opened the guild leader’s door and said….'
For a moment, his cool eyes met my gazes.
'Mr. X.'
Lee Sa-young slowly took off his glasses. Ui-jae turned to look at Choi Gyodo. He needed to explain what kind of bullshit situation this was. However, Choi Gyodo raised his thumb with a trembling hand as if in vibrating mode and smiled a vague smile that he would only show right before he died. He looked very relieved, as if he had done everything he could.
'Ah, I’m an idiot, this is the reason he said the hospital was not needed.'
In the first place, Choi Gyodo had no intention of opening the door to where Ui-jae wanted to go. Choi Gyodos only goal was to have Lee Sa-young rocket ship Cha Eui-jae!
Uijae trembled with a sense of betrayal. For some reason, they didn't ask for the destination!
Before I knew it, Sa-young had risen from his seat and was lightly approaching in front of me. The two people stood facing each other with a door in between. The cloudy violet eyes scanned the garment, starting from the toes, legs, waist, nape of the neck, and head, without missing any area. Sa-young crossed his arms and raised the corners of his mouth.
“They asked me what to do when they message me. What kind of crazy thing did you do?”
“… … .”
“You look like shit, hyung?”
