I have a date? With a boy? WTF just happened?
There's a guy at work, and I was getting the sense he might be interested... so when he e-mailed (at work) and started asking about my plans for attending the "Adult Holiday Party", I thought I totally side-stepped him... instead, I left myself completely open to his invitation to go with him. So I am.
I begin to better understand how the title character must have felt in "Chasing Amy".
(Besides the obvious sexual attraction I have for both genders), part of the reason I sexually orient the way that I do is to best increase my odds of finding someone with which I can invest a significant amount of time. (That is to say, I don't necessarily believe in the romantic interpretation of "soul mates" as one person with whom you are destined to spend the rest of your life, or longer. However, finding someone you can commit to, long term, and build some sort of cohesive, positively co-dependent habitational situation together, is nice.) So even though I am massively more attracted to women right now, I don't find men disgusting, and thus should not discredit a potential partner purely based on his gender.
Side note: I used to believe in "happily ever after" love... Wonder when I stopped? Or at least, when I stopped believing in it for me.
So, yeah, this should be interesting...
Nevermind that I haven't gone on a typical "date" in... lol a ridiculous amount of time, and don't know quite what to do with myself. After I read his e-mail, I called Heidi on my break to ask for advice. She suggested I don't have anything to lose, and should go for it. She's right. It's not like OWS is just crawling with available lesbians. It's unlikely I will find any females in the area with with to romantically entangle myself, so might as well investigate the options that are available to me.
Shoot, now I kinda have to care about what I wear, huh? lol

On a separate note, I'm getting new glasses. Pics will likely be posted to FB in the near future.
