Just a quick update...
Didn't get my Internet installed Saturday after all, something about wiring. Landlord will be running extra cable in crawl space this week, hopefully will have reliable Net access at home within the week. (Fingers crossed!)
I think Terry has special powers that allow him to absorb others' intelligence. Whenever I'm with him, I have to struggle to remember basic facts and principles, which I normally can recite off the cuff. Also, my vocab shrinks at least 60%, I swear! I end up feeling stupider, I think, and then his mental prowess impresses me all the more. But I like Terry, and he has interesting views and expresses them in an amusing fashion. I've just gotta build up some sort of resistence, or something.
Have I mentioned how much I love living by myself? (I think I have, obviously, I'm just reiterating.)
Things with Dave and I are super-duper and a half.
Work is... frustrating. I'd like them to live up to their legal obligations, and they, well, refuse. They've always got an excuse, and I'm sick of it. I'm going in to work early to talk to the HR girl, and she better have a resolution, or I'm seriously taking this to the Labour Board and Human Rights Commission (and maybe WSIB, though they seem less helpful).
School is good. Gotta get crackin' on my Athabasca courses. And try to read more and watch TV less (since doing them at the same time isn't actually very productive). But otherwise, I think I'm doing ok.
Ok, I gotta jet, class in 20 mins or less.
