I had a really fun Saturday night. After working 12-8, I got home, talked to Ana for a good while, and then went to "la noche de botella." It's this thing that Camila started in which, basically, everyone gets together and drinks that soda from Brazil called Guaraná. Yeah, there's that plant called the same name, but this is different. Well, it actually has guaraná in it, so I suppose that's why it's called so. That drink is really really good. What happened was Camila got this 3 or 4-man tent and set it up behind our apartment complex. She put a bunch of blankets and sleeping bags in there, and a big group of us hung out in the tent drinking Guaraná and telling stories and just chillin' like villains. (Man, I'm oh-so-ghetto, am I not?) There was me, Camila, Lily, Tavin, Sam, Rubia, Rachel, Craig, Lizzie, and some girl whose name I don't know, all together there in the tent. Okay, maybe it was a tad bigger than a 3-man tent, but still, it was very...cozy. I had fun. There's another example of the raucous nocturnal activities in which we BYUers engage ourselves. In the tent there was an odd mixture of English, Spanish, and Portuguese being thrown around.
Ooooh, I forgot. On Friday night when I was at Camila's apartment, Kindra, one of the RA's was there, and she speaks English, Arabic, some Spanish and a lot of French. That night I was going mad crazy on my Spanglish, but I went beyond anything I had done before in way of language mixing. In one sentence, I included words (in their proper context) from English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and French. That is way beyond Spanglish. Though it's prideful, I must say I was kind of pleased with myself. Everyone was impressed. I was like the coolest guy they had ever seen in the last 15 minutes of their lives.
Nyquil is already kicking in. Whoa...
