why do i still write in this? mostly because i'm too lazy to write in my real journal. which is hidden in my room somewhere so dre doesn't read it. i'm a writing major i should probably not be too lazy to grab a pen and write huh? whatevs.
feeling much better. justin rodriguez and justin arruda (also know as duke justin of staten island and ye olde justin of rhode island HA) made me feel better the other night and yesterday i talked it out with matt. he apologized but is still acting strange. if everything goes according to plan, he's visiting next week. hopefully that will make things normal again. i asked jay at work to give me two days in a row off next week to spend time with matt. hopefully its not thursday and friday cause that's kinda a long time away and he might go completely crazy before then.
what else? today and tomorrow are my days off this week, they better be good. adventure, intrigue, tearing the rug up in my room! all these must be done in the next two days!
tattoo on friday! numero 4. here's what it means:

DRAGONFLY SYMBOLISM
When a dragonfly lands on you, you will hear excellent news from someone far away from home. A dead dragonfly symbolizes sad news. Dragonfly symbolism crosses and combines with that of the butterfly and change. The dragonfly symbolizes going past self-created illusions that limit our growing and changing. Dragonflies are a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity.

They are fantastic flyers, darting like light, twisting, turning, changing direction, even going backwards as the need arises. They are inhabitants of two realms - starting with water, and moving to the air with maturity, but staying close to water. Some people who have the dragonfly as their totem have had emotional and passionate early years, but as they get older they achieve balance with mental clarity and control. They gain an expression of the emotional and mental together.

Dragonflies are old and adaptive insects, and are most powerful in the summer under the effects of warmth and sunlight. Their colors are a result of reflecting and refracting the power of light. As a result, they are associated with color magic, illusion in causing others only to see what you wish, and other mysticism.

They are often represented in Japanese paintings, representing new light and joy. To some Native Americans they are the souls of the dead. Faerie stories say that they used to be real dragons.

Dragonflies are reminders that we are light and can reflect the light in powerful ways if we choose to do so. "Let there be light" is the divine prompting to use the creative imagination as a force within your life. They help you to see through your illusions and allow your own light to shine in a new vision.

lets hope the mental clarity and control part come true shall we?

"i'm fraudulent, a thief at best, a coward who paints a bullshit canvas- things that will never happen to me. and at arm's length, it's tim who said i'm good at it, i've mastered it- avoiding, avoiding everything. but you are what you love tim not what loves you back and I'm in love with illusions so saw me in half. i'm in love with tricks so pull another rabbit out of your hat..."- rilo kiley
