Things that are on my desk...

Poetry notebooks, Richard Brautigan book, Outlaw Bible of American poetry, a mirror, various and assorted kinds of pills, wine glasses, a camera, some burts bees, rimbaud books, a national geographic, a letter from justin, a pen, some crackers, a dollar, a camera, an ipod, a book called beats and pieces.

in case anyone cared.

i've been in an interesting mood lately. not quite sure what's going on. i think my writers block may be going away. i dont want to jinx it by saying its gone, but we'll see. im submitting to a couple lit mags on campus and im the poetry editor of the writers block compilation. now if only i went to the meetings...
everythings good, i cant really complain. amy and i have QT on wednesday nights and we cuddle and watch one tree hill, i saw my mom today, i have a comfy new ($150!!!!!) mattress pad that matty bought me, im not completely broke for once. its not a bad life. i dont know. maybe all these crazy writing classes are making me more introspective. ive been trying to get to the root of why i get so sad sometimes. aside from sundays cause everyone knows the sunday blues, i just know them more intimately than most.
i had a lot of resentment toward the end of break over a this one situation and i guess i still cant really work it out in my head. but maybe theres nothing to work out. maybe its just done and its one of those things that cant be undone. ill miss it. a lot. its the end of an era (a la that episode of friends where monica tells rachel theyre not gonna live together anymore)
check out my writing journal. let me know what you think of the latest story. it was an assignment for personal essay that got a lot of good feedback. i kind of like writing in that david sedaris-esque style. we'll see what happens.
for now, later days and better lays.

"denver nursed beloveds interest like a lover whose pleasure was to overfeed the loved..." (Beloved. amazing book. read it if you havent)
