Big sister little sister weekend
This past weekend Grets and I went to visit our little sisters in LA.
FRIDAY
Grets and I ran into Bobak at the airport. He was meeting with Stephanie in LA for her mom's wedding so we all sat together in the plane. Grets had lots of left over drink tickets from her New York days so we got to buy some alcohol. w00t! w00t! My Baley's on ice was too strong so I thought I'd water it down with hot chocolate. YUCKY! ~.~
Got to LA safe and Michi picked us up. I LOVE MY SISTER!! I hadn't seen her in months! My sister's driving scares the shit outta me! But I played it cool. Didn't want to act like my Mom, ne? We all met up at Iris and Francisco's place and ended up sleeping there the whole weekend. Which was great since all of us got to hang out.
Iris cooked up a storm with chicken ceasar salad, baked raviolis, chips and artichoke dips, margarita and guava alcohol mixers, this mexican chocolate flan. OMG! It was heavenly! And of course, they were all from Costco. hehehe
Even Karl and his friend came over that night. We surprised him with a little birthday cake. I haven't celebrated his bday since we were all babies! I'm glad we got to do so this year. ^.^
We all decided to watch "When A Stranger Calls". Francisco fell asleep before we even got 10 minutes into the movie. Karl was super hyper and trying to scare us all. I already watched it and we picked it because none of them wanted to see a scary movie with blood. So "The Hills Have Eyes" was out of the question. heh
Frida is so cute!!! She reminds me of a gaited horse, the way she walks and runs. Michi and I have so much fun scaring her. That's Ris' little mini pincher.
So the night ends, I pry my eyes away from their Tivo (sp?) and MTV and we all go to bed.
SATURDAY
We didn't wake up until almost 11am. CRAZY! I never stay in bed that long! Ris made us some waffles with fruit and syrup and ice cream. DELICHE! Francisco made the eggs and rice and hot dogs. Yum yum!
Michi, Grets, Ris and I left Francisco to study while we explored UCLA. What a beautiful campus. HUGE! I wouldn't have lasted a day with all the walking. I love the architecture of the buildings and all the trees and naked sculptures. We were really on a mission...to return Michi's library books! One of them was called "Sex Work". I had the embarassing joy of lugging it around. I decided to see what it was about and the first chapter hooked me! I'll rent it when I get home.
Anyways, we got lucky with a free Togos lunchbox and soda. They were having a staff convention and had lots of leftovers. FREE FOOD! We also got to see the gardens. WOW! I love love love all the bamboo and other plants. And the turtles!
After our long walks we headed to Michi's place. Her room and bathroom is so cute! I'm glad she decorated, looks so feminine and nice. She's so strict with her toilet seat though. Me and Grets got scolded for leaving the seat cover up. hehe
She let me have some of her clothes. Yaaaaaaaay! And we all went back to Iris's to get ready for the night.
Dinner at King Taco. Dancing at Menage. Another lucky happening. We were walking by Menage and saw the long line. But the bouncer pointed to us as we walked by and had us cut in front of everyone. b00yA!
The club was cool...three different floors. We danced the whole night away with Frankie being out body guards. I LOVE PARTYING WITH MY SIS AND COUSINS!!!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! *hearts*
Our feet hurt by the time we got home at 2am. More tv and sleep. ZzzzZZzzzzzzzzz.
SUNDAY
Time for Ris and Frankie to have a cooking break. We all had breakfast at Noah's and watched "The Protector". I cried! I want to see Ong Bak. On the way out we ran into Sinbad. He said "Wassup" and nodded.
Hung out at the mall and then it was time to go home. Grets forgot she had a cosmetic item that was liquid. So we had to go back down to check her bag in and then go through seucirty again. Luckily we came super early so that didn't faze us. On the plane we sat next to this guy on his way back to Chico. He was a card magician! Entertained us with card tricks all the way back.
And now ... I'm tired. Still recouperating from my weekend. Been having a hard time waking up early the past few days. Yikes! I better get my act together and get to work on time. BACK TO WORK!
