It's been a while since I last made a post public XD
This is just an update of my current situation and interests haha. (Translation: might be boring.)
It was originally intended to be short but it ended up becoming quite long:
- Exams end next week!! Finally! Apart from studying, I've mostly spent my days sleeping. I'm getting old XD When I was younger, I had more stamina.
- Still struggling a bit with piano
- My eyesight has been worsening.
- Still doesn't know how to properly tag my posts. I tend to overuse this function.
- I've been missing HxH lately >< I occasionally re-watch the Kurapika vs. Uvo fight but it just reminds me that the manga is on hiatus ^^; I want to see more of Kurapika >w< I hope that Togashi-sensei recovers soon. Age makes it harder to recover from back pain...
There's the wikia too. I've been meaning to contribute but there's nothing that I can do; my editing skills just suck, haha. Participating in the forum games is also time-consuming and I can't come up with amusing replies like the others do so I haven't been active lately... I promised to contribute but...it's hard to find something that I can do and I admit that it sometimes feels that I'm wasting my time...I'm so sorry >< There was a time when I was quite zealous and edited everyday but now I've lost that enthusiasm.
There are fights too (last time, it was on Alluka's gender I believe) and I prefer to avoid them. Alluka is just a fictional character, I can't understand why some people have to take the opinions to heart. Anyway...
- I recently started to like NEWS and Tegomass ^^ Tegoshi has amazing vocal skills and the other members are really likeable. (I had heard of them before, but I started to be interested in them only some months ago.)
NEWS might be the only JE group that I appreciate with all my heart. They went through hard times, risking a disbandment, and came back as a 4-member NEWS, stronger and closer to each other. Their love and passion for NEWS could really be felt and I was moved. I haven't known the 6-member NEWS but I believe that the current NEWS is the best. (Tegoshi also realised his wish of being at the centre :3)
Their Myojo interviews can be found
here. The posts are tagged as "news". They are such touching interviews ;-; I could feel the members' anxiousness while reading.
I was touched by the song "
Full Swing". It might describe in what state NEWS was at that time when the two members announced that they would quit the group. The song is also encouraging. Even idols went through difficult times...Sometimes we take their smiles for granted but they actually are humans like us and suffer like us. This might be why I felt a kind of closeness/connection with them.
Some thoughts on Tegoshi, based on what I've read on him and my own impressions:
He's a very skilled singer - From Wikipedia: A lyric tenor - and a cheerful person, always thinking of his fans. He is also a really straightforward person, sometimes coming across as rude. But he doesn't lie and thus can be trusted. He is truly an idol, always looking for ways to please his fans.
He is somewhat egoistic and narcissistic but the other members like this side of him (I think).
I admire him as a singer but more as a human being. He deserves a lot of respect in my opinion. First of all, he is a strong and positive person. Even during hard times, he holds in his tears and does his best to look happy, so as not to worry his fans and the people around him. The only time I saw him cry was during NEWS' live in 2012. He is an ambitious young man and stays positive in all circumstances. As a pessimistic person, I really respect this quality. I found it amusing that he thought that the withdrawal of Yamapi and Nishikido could be an opportunity for him to shine while the other members were questioning whether there would be a future for a 4-member NEWS. This also shows how much confidence he has in himself. Furthermore, he is passionate and doesn't do things halfheartedly. This can be seen when he refused to release an album as quickly as possible after the departure of the two members. He preferred to take his time and do his best to show the best possible results to the fans. In addition, he is a hard-worker, something which might be a bit surprising.
Tegoshi reminds me of the Japanese proverb "Fall seven times, stand up eight." No matter what obstacles stand before him, he moves forward. I love his all-positive attitude and amazing confidence xD
I'd like to become someone like him ^^ He deserves so much respect as a person!
Some people might disagree but that's how I find him ^^
- I've been listening a lot to Tegomass'
Miso soup. The warmth and gentleness...~
- It's been a year since I last watched a namahousou on Niconico. I should really do so soon after the exams. I miss Marasy's piano namahousou.
- I haven't been following Root Five lately ^^;;
- I'm going to buy a new phone in China with 16 GB of ROM! Yay~ I have been struggling with memory issues with my current phone which only has 2 GB of ROM >< My memory card is almost full too.
- Speaking of China, I'm thinking of making a list of stuffs I need to buy. So far, I can only think of TFBOYS CDs/goods, panda-related goods and anime goods. Haha, I guess I should think of this after my exams xD Still, I wonder where I'll get these in Tianjin... My grandmother moved near a supermarket and a bookstore where I once bought a Sherlock Holmes novel but I don't know of any music store. Hopefully, there will be some Japanese stuffs at a cheaper price too.
- I used to use my aunt's computer while in China but now it would be impossible, I believe, since my grandmother moved to an area further from her house. I need to find another way of accessing the internet. I'll need a VPN too (somebody should destroy that Great Firewall!). My brother is going to lend me his tablet so hopefully, I'll be able to use it to access Livejournal, Twitter, YouTube, etc. I'd like to post about my trip there on LJ after all :3
Some anime stuffs:
- Watashi ga Motete Dousunda: ...!? Was that Yuri!? I don't mind yuri but...I would have preferred sticking with BL. But it would be interesting to see the guys compete with a girl. So far, Mutsumi-senpai is the most likeable character. The protagonist definitely has to end up with him! The other guys just appreciate her for her appearance, not her inner self ><
The opening and ending are great.
- Ajin: I got used to the CG! It feels natural now ~ It's actually really well done!
- Bungou Stray Dogs: I loved the Odasaku-Dazai story! It was more exciting than the main arc, maybe because it was darker and more serious.
- Drifters: I didn't expect it to be so interesting! I immediately started to read the manga. Of course, my favourite character is the bishounen, Yoichi xD
- Gakuen Handsome: Is that Hanae...? xD The protagonist's name sounded familiar but...>w<
- Natsume Yuujinchou Go: Lovely ~ Even though I've read the manga, I still look forward to every episode. This happens rarely since I dislike re-reading / re-watching things, unless I've forgotten the story or details of the show. This just shows how beautiful this show is (❁´◡`❁)
EDIT : I've just watched episode 5! It was so beautiful and heart-breaking o(TヘTo) くぅ One of my favourite chapters has been animated. The last part was especially well animated ;-; The breath-taking scenery and beautiful music <3
Oh, the ending isn't just depictions of flowers now! They properly animated it! It makes Aimer's song even more perfect! It was a great depiction of a sunset. (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡ So beautiful!
--> New userpics :3
Sensei peeking ^^
I liked this transition:
He smiled a little ~
Did they use a new soundtrack when Natsume and the others were searching for the rabbit youkai? It reminded me of the one which was used at the end of the movie "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari". I believe that some traditional instruments were used.
Ah ~ Natsume has really matured, hasn't he? He now has friends he wants to protect <3 He wasn't afraid to look the youkai straight into its eyes.
By the way, the official Natsume Yuujinchou website has made
wallpapers available for download!
- Gundam - Tekketsu no Orphans: I hope the masked man is Gaelio xD I liked him quite a lot. It's sad that the children will be thrown amidst a war...
- Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari: Poco is so cute!!! Surprisingly, I've started to enjoy watching slice of life anime more than before. I used to prefer genres like action.
- Yuri On Ice: So...Yuri x Victor is official? I've seen people shipping Victor as the uke (I think it's a great idea) but I originally saw him as the seme.
I'd like to see a Yuri (Japan) x Victor x Yuri (Russia) doujinshi! Both Yuri seem to be attracted to Victor so why not? XD Yuri (Japan) x Yuri (Russia) is quite appealing too.
My favourite character: The Russian Yuri.
I'm glad that this anime brought attention to figure skaters like Yuzuru but I heard that some people harassed Plushenko because of it, telling him
“leave his wife and find a Japanese skater to fall in love with”. Some people are so ignorant >< Glad to know that some figure skaters (for example, Evgenia Medvedeva) actually watch the anime though!
I've known Yuzu for more than a year, but YOI piqued my interest in the actual sport. I need to learn the different jumps now xD I know the names but I can't differentiate at all. I'm usually just a casual fan (and as a result, I'm not too biased), and never invests myself too much in any fandom so I hope I'll get to work soon xD So I really admire people who stay in a fandom for years. For example, people who have all the albums, singles, posters of an artist and still follow them after a decade. They also watch all the dramas and shows starring that artist and have read all the interviews! I find it so amazing.
Also, congrats to Yuzu for finishing 2nd at Skate Canada!(*^^*)
- I've got my friend to watch Yuri On Ice >w< I now have someone with whom I can discuss the series ~
- My brother has also started to watch Dragon Ball Super, haha. The French channel "Mangas" has been airing the episodes of the old Dragon Ball and since he was bored, he decided to start watching the new series too. So, now, he's watching the one in which Goku is still small (the first series I think), Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super xD We used to watch Dragon Ball Z together when we were little but we never finished the series.
P.S: Sorry for any typos or weird sentences, I'm too lazy to proofread.
