Boy, am I glad 2003 is almost over! It's been an exciting and exhausting year - hopefully 2004 will not be quite as trying. Yeah, right. As if.
Work's been a bit lax lately, because of the holidays. Which I appreciate, because it's given me some time to relax. Shopping this month was a disaster. I should have learned from last year, when I had tons of trouble ordering things over the internet. But I didn't - and had a whole slew of packages just, never show up at the door. The Post Office swears they delivered it, and I swear they didn't. I ended up having to go out and buy a different present, and then pester the company for a refund. And I didn't even make it up to see my boyfriend's sister dance in the Nutcracker this year. Since my grandmother's finally getting better, she's spending the holidays in Florida with my aunt and uncle - which is good because it gives my mother a break.
Speaking of, I actually made it through the Christmas holiday without a huge shouting match with my mother. This is quite an accomplishment, I assure you. We must be too alike - more than 24 consecutive hours together and we just start to fight.
On a happy note, tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going to one of my college friend's house for a New Year's Eve party. He'll finally get to meet the guys who helped me survive freshman and sophomore year. I've been trying to keep in touch with them, but I haven't been doing too well. Maybe I should make a resolution to email more often....
