So those of you who have been following my journal (which should be none of you) will notice that I haven't actually posted anything since October of 2003. And yes, I have been that busy (and lazy) since then. Given that, I am revising my hopes of maintaining a daily or even weekly journal, and will now strive to keep a monthly journal - basically a wrap-up of anything even remotely interesting that may have happened. So if you suddenly see a lot of back-dated entries, you haven't missed anything. I'm just pretending that I wrote them earlier in the year(s).
And now on to the wrap-up for May:
This month has been insanely busy. My boyfriend joined a new band and has been spending most of the month playing out with them. They played the New York Power Fest, the Chicago Classic Metal Fest, and then a local show opening for an international act. His other band also had a show, on the one weekend he wasn't performing with his new band.
I was equally busy at work. My office is working with our customer to pilot a new project - and it's far from smooth sailing. Since we seem to have a policy of not testing anything, most of the hardware and software has broken at least once. A day. Slightly frustrating. Luckily, my days of filling in for my supervisor are over so I can at least take my flex days - which have been great. A break is necessary every once in a while.
At any rate, now that May is almost over, I am finally finding some time to finish some unpacking (yup, I moved in to my apartment almost a year ago, and I still am not completely unpacked) and get myself a bit more organized. Gotta love the way time flies.
