Bella and Buffy's Penthouse - Sunday Morning

Buffy stirred from blissful sleep to find Bella still asleep against her. She pulled her in closer and breathed in the scent of her long black hair. Feeling herself melt inside, she leaned in to kiss her cheek and whispered softly, "Mmm, good morning, my heavenly creature."

Bella stirred quietly and made a small noise. Squirming closer against Buffy she smiled, "Morning my slayer."

Buffy smiled and turned Bella gently in her arms to face her. "You were amazing last night." She leaned in and kissed her lips softly, running her tongue along her lips. "I think we've done quite a thorough exploration of the bed, what do you say?"

Bella shivered slightly and pulled Buffy's hips in closer to hers. "I think so." She whispered into the kiss, her tongue barely touching the tip of Buffy's. "Mmmm what do you say to exploring the balcony this morning. I have fruit." She said as her thumb pressed slowly into Buffy's leg starting to search lower, "Cherries I believe."

Buffy's body reacted with a shudder at Bella's touch. She smiled, "You trying to turn me into an exhibitionist? And as for cherries..." She kissed her again, starting with her mouth and then moved her way down slowly, kissing the hollow of her throat, her neck. She ran her tongue down between her breasts and gently scratched a path up from Bella's thigh, up over her torso and then over her breast. Taking a nipple between her finger and thumb she squeezed lightly and took the other in her mouth, biting down gently.

Bella gasped in a mixture of pleasure and pain, her back arched towards Buffy's delicious mouth. "Cherries..." Enjoying it for a moment longer Bella broke away slowly and smiled, "Now now poppet, no more of that. Come with me." She said sliding out of Buffy's arms to the side of the bed. She cast a wicked glance at Buffy over her shoulder before moving to the french doors that led onto the balcony. "More cherries outside I think."

Buffy moaned in protest, "But I was enjoying that." She sighed in surrender and, wrapping the sheet around her, followed her lover out to the balcony.

As if by 'magic' there was a table set with a nice bowl of cherries waiting on the balcony for them. Bella sat down in the chair and held out her arms for Buffy to come sit on her lap. "Here poppet," she cooed, "Cherries just for you." Bella plucked up a ripe red one and put it between her teeth, her eyebrows waggling.

Buffy took in the sight of it all and smiled, blushing slightly, "You are divine." She walked over, straddled Bella and leaned in to take the cherry from her mouth with a kiss. "Mmm, so yummy." She giggled and feeling true happiness rise up in her again, snuggled in closer to rest her head on Bella's shoulder, pulling the sheet around them. "I love you, baby," she whispered.

Bella's hands moved up Buffy's sides under the sheets to stroke the length of her hair. "I love you my dearest heart." She whispered back, her lips pressed to Buffy's forehead. Leaning forward to plucked another cherry from the bowl to press to Buffy's mouth; at that moment a great flutter of wings sounded and an owl floated down to the table. "What's this now. Hello Somerville de Marshmallow." Bella said to the owl as it extended his leg towards her, a tightly bound scroll with Andromeda's seal was lashed there.

Buffy started slightly at the owl's unexpected appearance. She raised her eyebrows at Bella at the name she had called him. "Somerville de Marshmallow?" she asked, incredulous.

Bella rolled her eyes, "Cissy named him." She smiled and then untied the scroll from the owl's leg. "Cherry?" She asked him picking one up. Somerville de Marshmallow opened his beak and accepted the cherry from Bella's fingertips. "Good boy. Wait for my reply." she said unsealing the scroll. Her eyes read over the words slowly while Somerville dipped his beak into her cup of tea and drank. A worried frown slid onto Bella's face as she gently nudged Buffy off her lap. She reread the words, her sisters name fell from her lips in a whisper. "Oh Andy." The words breaking as they formed. Taking the parchment and turning it over Bella pricked her finger with her wand, Come was the only word Bella wrote before sealing it and tying it to Somerville's leg.

"For Andromeda Black's eyes only." The owl nipped gently at Bella's finger before taking off in a flash of light.

Buffy, her face awash with concern, moved slowly, almost cautiously, to touch Bella's arm. "Bella?" She took her hand in her own and kissed away the small trace of blood. "Talk to me?" She wrapped her arms around her lover, holding her tightly against her.

Bella took a breath, her eyes closed against the warmth of Buffy's arms. "It's Andromeda." She said, her voice breaking again, "It's bad. At home." Her words came out in half sentences. "She's coming. She needs me." Bella's throat was tight, Andromeda's words echoed through her blood. Come to me my darling. Come my love, my dark sister.

"Oh my love," Buffy breathed, enveloping Bella protectively. "What do you need me to do?"

She ushered Bella inside and sat down on the bed beside her, taking her hands in her own.

Bella suppressed a shudder when Buffy took her hands. Rage filled her as she took a steadying breath. "She's coming here." Bella looked around their bedroom. "We- well obviously not here with us- we need to arrange for her to stay in another penthouse if it's possible." She looked helplessly for a moment at Buffy. It had been Buffy who had made the previous arrangements for their current home.

Buffy lifted Bella's hand and kissed it. She caressed her face gently, "Shh, I will arrange everything." She took Bella in her arms again, holding Bella back from the edge of panic. "Everything is going to be okay, I promise."

She got up and dressed quickly. Walking back over to Bella, she took her face in her hand and kissed her brow. "Are you going to be alright here? I won't be long."
