Stick Theater Presents: The Third Crusade!

Apr 12, 2010 06:12

The Crusades! Adventure! Romance! Plate armor in climatically inappropriate regions! Sacking, attempted sacking, conspiracy to sack, and jaywalking! It's like we were the Vikings, only afterwards we were too embarrassed to look anybody in the eye.

THIS.

ILU. Seriously, this is so epic ;__; I just got finished playing the first Assassin's Creed game so the fact that you did your stick figure thing on the Third Crusade makes me laugh even more...

Pfffff. I'm glad you mentioned the Richard/Philip thing. We actually watched a movie about that when I took world history. XD

England loves to just claim random land he comes across doesn't he?

Hahaha, I was talking to a non-Hetalia friend while I was posting this, and she was all "I'VE HEARD OF SALADIN! ...From Assassin's Creed, but still!"

Also, they made a movie about the Richard/Philip thing? Fuck me, I need to find that on YouTube like pronto.

Hey, parts of Assassin's Creed are historically accurate!

Okay, so it wasn't just about them, but it did have a Philip rejecting Richard scene.
It was the 1968 movie The Lion in Winter with Henry II brooding about who he wants to take over the throne when he dies. He wants his son John to take it, but the Queen wants Richard, and you know the rest... A bunch of silly royalty drama... :l

That's actually one of my favorite movies--does that make me a big pretentious edu-film nerd? D=

No...
Or if it does, that means I'm one too. I can remember that movie better (and I saw that several years ago) than whatever the heck I saw in theaters a month ago... ._.;;
