Round Robin Quilt Centre Block

Oct 12, 2008 16:56

Wonderful brong took the kids out to the park this afternoon, and so I've been busy sewing (surprise!)...

This is the centre block for a quilting round robin that I'm participating in at the moment. The idea is that there's a group of five of us, and we each create a centre block. It then gets posted to the next person who adds a border, and so on until it's returned to the original owner for finishing off.

I love stars, as pretty much everyone knows ;) So what with blue fabric and interesting angles, this was such fun to make. I even had to remember my yr9 trigonometry to calculate the lengths, and got out my protractor to get the angles accurate. I am such a nerd...
