evil_s and I had a successful jeans shopping adventure today! Yay! We got jeans that both look great and feel comfy - and even had to agonise over which pairs to take (well I did).
But what I wanted to post about was this: at Jeans West we found jeans that more-or-less fit, but weren't fabulous. Their sizing seems to be pretty small, so even though I've lost a fair bit of weight, I was putting on size 18 jeans. We moved over to Colorado who had a sale on - buy 2, get two free, so we each ended up buying one pair of jeans and getting a free pair. I initially tried on 14s but then ended up in 12s. They fit wonderfully, but I really must get around to shortening the legs before going out in them.
I know sizing changes between stores, styles, brands, cut, etc. I know it's just a little number on a tag. So I just don't understand why it seems like it matters. It's such a self-esteem boost to have that little 1-2 number instead of the 1-8 number. Get over yourself, brain.
