Let's revisit that scary list from a fortnight ago, when my "freedom" started.


I need to:

Work out how to save an image file as an eps without actually having Illustrator on my computer - aha! But I do have Paintshop Pro, and that can save as eps. Excellent! Done now.

Organise 60IV promo t-shirts to be printed (relies on above) - Done - they are now in Sydney, drying out from getting wet in the trailer going up there.

Research, consult and then buy kitchen appliances: dishwasher, stove top, oven, sink and tap. Fridge if I find an excellent one while I'm at it, but that's not urgent - Bought the appliances yesterday, but haven't yet got the sink or tap (but I know what I want and where to get it). I spent a scary amount of money, but did manage to haggle my way into quite a saving on the complete package (including a food processor to replace the one I dropped and broke a year ago - it would cost the same as a new one to fix the old one).

Go through and sort/tidy/cull kids' toys and books - I've got rid of some baby books that they no longer read, but haven't had a chance to go through the toys. They're all dumped in the tub in the corner, not particularly tidy at all!

Go through and sort/tidy/cull kids' clothes - Nup, have barely done anything with this.

Tidy kids' bedroom - I can't believe what a mess it was. It's now mostly tidy, but still needs vacuuming.

Finish quilt - I've finished the top, but still have to piece the back together and do the label. It must be done tonight.

Clean out and move games cupboard and take over all available space as a craft cupboard (mwahaha) - Nup, not had time for this.

Clean out and sort boxes of fabrics in the study - put into storage tubs - Hahaha, no, this hasn't happened either!

Pack up Christmas decorations - Yes, and it was done before the 6th, so I avoided the bad luck for the year.

Pick plums and make plum jam - I picked the plums, but I've had to give Mum the plums to jam. I haven't had the time.

Catch up on family budget - Yes, though it's the day to do it again tomorrow. But I've done the year turn-over work.

Complete the UHS survey - No, and I'm not really certain this is ever going to get done :(

Get stuff together for tax return - Done as much as I can, I just need Bron to go through his scary paperwork drawer now before we can actually do the tax return.

Do filing - Yup!

Make dentist appointment (hopefully not "do filling" as I just typed) - Nope

Complete the photo sorting that I started a year ago - Hahaha, right...

Find an 18th birthday present for B-i-L and post it to Tassie - Decision was made to leave it until later. Hope he doesn't mind.

Post carol books to Bazza - Done!

Finish book (that won't take long, nearly there...) - Finished. It was good.

Clear out mending and ironing pile and deal with contents - Mostly done. I've dealt with the ironing pile and the more important of the mending!

Catch up on sleep - Hahahahahahahahahahaha Never going to happen

See some movies - Yep, seen 'The Golden Compass' and 'Enchanted'

Go to the gym - I've been twice...

Remember to eat proper food when I'm cooking for one - Sort of...

Slob around the house in jarmies - Old habits die hard. And my Dad's been coming over early each day to paint the kitchen cupboards, so I can't really slob around.

Watch some DVDs. I'm thinking Buffy and/or Angel (I should be able to borrow it from a friend), and season 1 of Press Gang and Degrassi - I watched the Press Gang and Degrassi, but couldn't get the Buffy/Angel.

Get knitting started (I've some beautiful soft yarn in a bamboo/cotton blend) - Half a sleeve done!

Write out a song that's running through my head - Still circulating

Write the revue act that's running through my head (here's looking atcha, MonUCS) - I can do this at IV (I hope)

Vacuum (shudder) - yeah... still have to do that...

Go through kitchen cupboards and sort/pack contents, leaving basic supplies - Crockery cupboard and pantry done, other cupboards not touched, but shouldn't take too long.

Take doors off pantry and crockery cupboard - Done

Clear off top of kitchen cupboards - Nope

Maybe paint the interior of the pantry and crockery cupboards - My wonderful fabulous Father is doing this job.

Scrub and pack away the highchair (this has been on the list for MONTHS!) - Hehe, and it's staying on the list!!

Sell the stationwagon: no luck yet - YES!! Done!!

Go splut in a heap - I'll be saving this for the flight up to Newcastle

Right, back to work...
