Image test
I've been wanting to work out how to upload photos to LJ for ages now, and I think I've finally got it!
This is a quilt top that I finished a few months ago. It's my first applique quilt, and was done entirely on machine. The pattern was given to me by my friend Viv - she'd bought it intending to make it for her son Benny, but gave it to me when she decided she'd never actually make it. She doesn't know that I've made it, so it will be a big surprise for Benny's next birthday in March. On Tuesday afternoon I drove it to Frankston to drop it off at the quilter's to get it professionally quilted. Not a cheap option (like $160), but I don't have the expertise or the equipment to do it myself - so I've got his two aunts on board who will split the cost of the quilting.
