As well as that hour long documentary I
posted about before, there are some 20 minute long documentaries. I thought they were the same as the ones shown on NHK while the drama was airing so I didn't bother watching them as I caught all of those on NHK (and mainly, they are) but one is different...
It's out-takes and behind the scenes stuff!
I spammed some of this on Twitter tonight, but not all of it so here's more Shiki/Yumeoji/GACKT screwing things up spammage!
First, there were a lot of still photos shown. No explanations for any of these!
At random intervals they would break from the out-takes and photo spams (usually to the sounds of that Momoclo theme song) and instead show a few sexy close ups of Shiki, set to sultry and calmer music and then finish the little break with GACKT's voice saying "GACKT desu"
Then they would then carry on as normal. Completely random (and pretty funny, tbh although that last one is kinda mean XD)
Later, they showed GACKT filming one of his scenes from episode 6.
He got it wrong.
He got it right... then asked to do it again.
Then he got it wrong.
And again.
Aaaaaand again.
And again.
And again.
You can do it, GACKT!
(This isn't them encouraging him to do this scene. It was one of the shows shown on NHK while the programme was airing and was in relation to the episode where Shiki was shot and killed in a dream. The makers of this documentary just put it in because it was funny, I guess!)
Yay! Finished!
It took twelve takes to get it right (I counted). He was kicking himself so much whenever he got it wrong. For one of the takes he didn't even say any part of his line - it completely escaped him!
At least when he got the name wrong in this next scene, he was happier about it.
This documentary was fun! As well as all of the out-takes and backstage shots, there was LOTS of crying kids as they showed all of the school children saying their farewells in the final scenes, plus little clips of the children's auditions.
And GACKT really did jump down from that tree in episode 2. He had a crash mat, but no wonder he screwed his back up if he was doing that and throwing Keiko (and her heavy dress) around.
