I've not been doing many general life entries lately so I'm going to try and recap where everything is in brief...
School is beginning to grind to a halt. All of my high schools are finished so the company is sending me to some other schools to cover for other teachers (two days at a junior high and one at an elementary lined up this week) and I have one more day at my special needs school. Then, it's a couple of weeks of complete holiday before the school year starts again in April.
Job #2 is ticking. I have my first three hour podcast recording session booked for Saturday! There's a small and low paid job that has recently come my way from them and I'm in negotiations over a longer and far better paid one that should give me something to do during those two weeks of holiday!
I've started a new exercise routine that is so far sticking rather well. My only exercise usually is walking and on an average work day I usually do around 4km, so that's not that bad, right? I'm on week four of a yoga/fitness program that I've heard nothing but good things about. It's used by a lot of professional wrestlers (it was devised by an ex-pro wrestler) and I know a lot of regular people who use it and some of the results are outstanding. I'm not doing the diet as I don't want to lose weight and my diet is generally good and works for me. I like the exercises as although they really raise my heart rate, it's fun and leaves me energised. I want to carry that on. The beginners level is only three or four times a week so it's achievable.
Of course, there's all of the OGYD activities. GACKT following the Twitter has really given me a kick as far as the Twitter is concerned so I'm determined that if he ever does look at his timeline (or directly at us), he's going to see something that can impress him. We have well over 2,000 followers now, so I don't want to let anyone down. It's harder to remain motivated about the comm, to be honest, as sometimes I feel like most people couldn't care less about LJ fandom any more.
Tied into that last one, is trying to study Japanese again and to be consistent about it. I fail at consistency, to be honest. Job #2 have given me a free premium subscription to their Japanese learning site so I have a few hundred podcasts and lessons at my disposal alongside a few textbooks and things. I can pick things up quite quickly, but I can also forget them quite quickly if I don't stay consistent.
I went to a street team meeting for the fade Japanese street team yesterday. That was interesting. I don't know exactly how active I can be for that, but I'd like to do my best.
There's also a little bit of socialising and somewhere along the way, a little bit of lazy relaxation. Books, mainly *huggles the Kindle*
So that's me. Getting increasingly busy these days.
I've stumbled across a couple of unsourced quotes lately that I'm trying to keep in mind (and if you know the sources, I'm happy to know them!)
"You will never find time for anything, you must make time"
"The busier the person, the better they are at managing their time"
I'm taking those both to heart right now. I don't want to waste days at home doing nothing.
