STEPHEN KING. ALL OF THE STEPHEN KING.

John Connelly is really good for thrillers and horror, as well. The Charlie Parker series is fantastic, and The Book of Lost Things is a fucking masterpiece.

Joe Hill (Stephen King's son) is also brilliant. Heart Shaped Box is pants-shittingly frightening.

Those dolls terrify me.

I've covered Stephen King pretty well (other than the Dark Tower series. Read the first one and the first couple of chapters of the second and gave up)

I'll look at the others you mentioned!

Hahaha, the dolls aren't that bad! The GACKT ones are kinda lacking in expression compared to some of the other models though.

How about Haruki Murakami's "The wind-up bird chronicle"? I'm currently reading this book after a friend recommented it to me and it's really nice :)
