Well I havn`t had to much time to update, been a little sidetracked to say the least.
I never got the chance to tell the story behind the fourth of July.
Well it all started good enough on Fri. night. Had a few peeps over to kick off the weekend, a little swimming some fun in the hot tub and a few drinks, and I mean only a few, nobody wanted to get all banged up, had a few partys to attend the next day.
Well here`s where things go south real fast, around 2:30 am people are leaving and I`m picking things up around the pool ( damn OCD ) and next thing I know I tripped over some pool furniture and I`m all :0. then I hear glass break and realize I managed to fall through my bedroom window! Well I get out of window kinda with a chuckle and then I notice I`m bleeding profusely out of a cut on my right forearm. Well having a towel in hand I applied pressure to the wound and went to tell my wife I needed a ride to the hospital. It was then she pointed out that half my arm was gone and called 911. I made it to my garage where a friend of mine was getting ready to leave and he tried to get blood to stop coming from another HUGE cut on the back of my right arm, it was at this point I realized I cut an artery! Not a fun feeling at all. So being the paramedic/firefighter I began giving instructions on placing a tourniqet, which kept me alive untill EMS got there. Another thing that sucks is having people you work with coming to you, I saw the look in one guys eyes when he walked up and I knew I was fucked.
So five days in yhe hospital and three surgerys later to repair the brachial vein, artery and ulner nerve I`m sitting at home, won`t be back to work for months. Pretty sucky not having feeling or use of your right hand. Should get use of it ina few months but won`t have feeling for around a year.
Well thats about it, looking forward to more nerve test and therapy!
