freaking germaphobes!

i was out with my family, eating in a restraunt to get a little ac going on, as we have none here yet. not a bad place actually. no problem with the eatery.

i am very allergic to rubbing alcohol, which is the main ingredient in almost all hand sanitizers. i have no problems with someone using a SMALL amount on their children. in a room that size, i wouldn't have a reaction at all.

but this bitch seems to want her kids to have no immune systems at all. seriously. like, a quarter of a pocket size bottle on each of them. them being her and her three kids. and her gleeful cry of "squirt squirt!" each time. gods! once before dinner, and once after. like seriously, the restroom, with their anti bacterial soap, was not even 50 feet away. the second time made me feel so bad i had to leave the dining area. luckily, i had finished my dinner as well.

please, teach your kids to wash their hands. its way better than just rubbing crap all over your hands and leaving the smears. and handwashing is still the better option. kills just as many germs, and is less likely to promote the growth of "superbugs" the kind that resist all forms of getting rid of them. INCLUDING hand sanitizer.

if you MUST have handsanitzer, and have small children, use an alcohol free variety. bath and body works has an alcohol free variety that is organic enough to get a place on the local whole foods co-op here. and gold bond has one that smells pretty decent. that way you're less likely to accidentally give your kids alcohol poisonning.

thanks in advance for not also accidentally killing people like me.
