saw "total recall" today. not bad, though, seriously,
[spoilers/rant]
the "science" was making me twitch. in a "that doesn't work like that" or "that's stupid" or "gas doesn't work like that" kind of way. seriously, rather than supersonic flights or going low earth orbit, you DRILL A TUNNEL THROUGH CENTER OF THE EARTH. and that's apparently the *only* way to send a robot army from england to australia, and you've only got one tunnel? seriously, the engineering behind that sort of shit is sooooooooooooooooooooo far ahead of what they showed. and i'm not going to get *started* on the "clouds of chemical weapons" that have "made most of the world uninhabitable"... that is beaten by a simple fucking gasmask (doesn't even burn the skin!). ahem. sorry.
[end spoilers/rant]
so, yeah, the more i think about it, my review of the movie is "actual movie was not bad, just ignore the completely fucked worldbuilding, lack of science, and just concentrate on the explosions".
hmmm, i wonder what the original was like, and how close either of them were to Phillip K Dick's short story.
also, the new kreator album is awesome. short (only 45 minutes), but awesome.
