In need of assistance
I know very few read my journals or respond of that matter but for those who actually do take a look at my posts I am needing some help.
I collect antiques (specifically war and Japanese antiques) and I came across 5 antique japanese fans. The store owner was not sure how old they are or what era but they are definitely very old and from Japan. Is there anyone who knows how I can find information on these? I've browsed online for hours and couldn't find anything or if there is anyone out there that is good with antiques themselves I'd greatly appreciate the help.
I am also getting an antique japanese "umbrella" but it is a parasol, ones used by the Geisha, atleast that is what the woman at the shop told me. She knows I am a regular and she acquires War and Japanese antiques for me when she can. I am stopping by today to take a look at the parasol and take a picture of it. I'll also get some pictures of the fans I purchased. They are very beautiful but very fragile so I keep them displayed in a safe spot.
