"All I need is room to fight"
I can't believe the semester's almost over. I'll be back in Jersey on May 2nd, and I'm leaving for summer stock in Ohio on the 18th. I'm just determined to get through this next week, I have two papers to write, 2 finals, and a water color painting to finish.
I've never really listened to The Wild Party before, and it's quite good actually. The cast is great, and the songs are fun.
I went to see this really amazing performance on Friday, it was in this space in Chinatown, and they had set up this installment piece with all these strings creating a sort of web on the ceiling/some of walls. The windows were floor to ceiling so you could see cars driving back and the street lights created an interesting glow. They had all these pillows and blankets set up, it was just very chill and welcoming. First, there was a solo performance piece on religion/identity/EVERYTHING by Anna Haas, it was fantastic, she's amazing and I loved it. After that there was a performance of Yelena Moskovich's new 18 minute play and then a movement piece. I love seeing new work, it's so wonderful, it gives me hope.
I went to Anime Boston on Saturday, it was so much fun! I saw lots of interesting costumes and just was hella nerdy with some of my friends. I ended up going to this techno thing and this guy kept hitting on me and I felt bad because... yeah, hella gay, but it happens.
I'm going to see Hot Fuzz, which is really exciting! I hope it's awesome.
Well, now I should get back to writing about the Mevlevi Order of Sufism's music. What a barrel of laughs that will be :-)
