Secluded Part of the Beach - Friday Morning
Liz wandered down to the beach Friday morning sometime before she was supposed to go class, she had heard about there being another island parked next to Fandom and about the newcomers, she hadn't yet run into any of them and didn't think much about going outside while she was still in Fandom.
She sat down and was happy to sit there for the next little while.

At first Liz didn't notice that she wasn't alone like she thought she was, she was content to just sit there, since she still had some time left before she had to go to class.

Kroenen watched the girl from where he was, she looked familiar to him even though he couldn't place her. He moved closer to her with precision, careful not to let her spot him.
Liz

Liz still didn't know that she was being watched, she kept staring out into space, lost in thought.

And he continued watching her, studying her silently from a distance ... unable to identify her he moved in closer, moving enough so that she would be able to start getting the feeling that she wasn't alone.

That was odd ... Liz felt like there someone near her, she turned around to see if that was true.

When Liz turned around, that was enough for Kroenen to identify who she was and why she looked familiar.
It was that fire girl. The one who had helped stop his master's plans to destroy the world.

And that was when Liz saw Kroenen, she stared in horror at the creature who was standing not that far from her, she then scrambled to her feet.
She didn't know who he was but what she did know was that she had to get out of there.
And fast.

Kroenen had no intention of letting her get away, she had to pay for what she did ... he pulled out his knives and if he could grin that was what he would be doing right about now.
Liz

Liz eyed the knives fearfully, "who...who are you?" she managed to get out, trembling as she backed away.

Kroenen's response was to pull back one of his knives and throw it directly at her, she should know who he was ... not that he could actually tell her that.
The knife throwing should give her a hint though.

Liz screamed as the knife came towards her, she tried to duck but the knife was still able to slash at her cheek, resulting in a rather nasty cut.

Kroenen wasn't deterred, he threw both knives again, this time with more speed so that they were capable of doing even more damage

Liz screamed again, trying to block the knives impact as they came towards her. One knife slashed at her shoulder blade, the other cut deeply across her stomach.
It was after the knife cut her shoulder that she felt the familiar surges of a fire burst, "no, no, no," she moaned, "not again..." hot blue flames began to appear in her hands.

Kroenen paused, he hadn't been counting on this to happen, he had figured that he would have already killed her before she had the chance to.
Liz

"I am the fire," Liz chanted to herself, "the fire is me," she could at least limit the damage that she was about to do.

Kroenen started backing away, he'd have to take care of fire girl some other time.

With as much effort as she could Liz focused her fire burst directly on Kroenen and sent the blast towards him.

The blast had more than enough force to send Kroenen flying backwards. Before Liz or anyone would be able to tell what had happened to him though he quickly used his skills to disappear as quickly as he had come.

The flames disappeared and Liz collapsed to her knees, panting as she tried to focus on her bearings. Her vision swarmed in front of her and she had to struggle not to pass out.
She was going to have to get to the clinic.
