I really cannot believe just how close it is until the semester is over. Next week is our next week of classes and then we have finals. I have 2 rugby tournaments left, 3 senior blues, lots of work, and no summer job. Shit.
But that doesnt mean that this hasn't been a fun run...for an update of what has been going on in my life, see below:
Let's see...Thursday was pretty interesting. I went over to Potsdam State and was a dd to the Rugby drinkup that they had over there, which was a lot of fun despite my sobriety. They lit a piece of paper and put it between some naked kid's ass while carrying him on their shoulders horizontally. It was hilarious. (And totally not hazing in case any of you were wondering) Friday night I went over to Clarkson with Angela and Joel (joel being the DD, of course) and had a couple beers over there. Then I had a couple more when I got home, but it was no big deal, becasue I had a rugby tournament on Saturday, and I didn't want to drink very much.
At the rugby tournament, I played in 2 halves of games and played a whole game, which was pretty exciting. I scored in my very first half, which was just about the most exciting thing ever on earth...but no one was there to see it. Angela, Joel, and Johnnie came to watch later, and they saw me take down some wicked big girls, and #10 who everyone hated...and they cheered. That was exciting, too.
Oh boy...that leads to the rugby drinkup...I had 4 pitchers there, which is a small amount compared to the 9 kegs we had purchased. When they were pooling money for the 10th, I decided that I had had enough and took Drew up on the invite to his party (which hadn't subsided since I was there the night before). Looking back on it soberly, i feel a little bad, as it was fairly presumptuous of me to leave a place where I had a dd to take me back to campus and show up at his doorstep expecting shelter until the next day, and maybe even a ride home. But everything turned out okay, and I met another girl from St. Lawrence who is wicked sweet.
Sunday I luckily didn't have a hangover, but my body ached like a beast. It was the best feeling of my life! And Sunday night I went to see Gomez and Cake, and they were tremendous. It was a very busy and exciting weekend overall, and I am happy about the way it turned out.
Tomorrow, Chris Stevens comes into town, so I have to go pick him up in Ottawa. That officially starts SLUGAC 5, which will be a great time, too. Probably a very drunken time, because when geology alumni come into town, they do what they do best: DRINK.
Drinking is starting to be a lot of work...I have to go to blues tonight, too. But if it is as dull as last week, I don't want to spend too much time there. Most of my friends actually do their work, and so don't go to Blues too often. I wish they did...I am sure i will figure something out.
I'm tired, and I still have an hour left of work. But rather than ramble here more, I will go do something productive. Have a beautiful day!!!
