The fire is immense and unbridled. It engulfs everything in its way and Bobby is helpless to stop it. His ice melts almost immediately and he's dizzy with how quickly his energy is depleting.
The blaze barrels towards him like an enraged bull, snarling and roaring its abhorrence and desolation.
He screams for John to stop, but gets no answer in response. The brunette is nowhere in sight.
“You took him away,” echoes eerily in his mind.
As the fire nears him with hurried momentum, all he can do is step back. In the haze of panic, he realizes that he's stepped on something. He looks down and is shocked to find that John's lighter is lying innocently on the ground, unopened and unused.
Bobby gapes at the inferno as it comes closer and closer. He tries to scream, for help, for repentance, for God, but smoke seizes its chance and uses the opportunity to choke him.
Tears fill his eyes as he coughs, and suddenly he's ensnared by flame and he finally finds the voice to scream, but it's too late.
“You took him away!”
Bobby wakes with a start, breathing heavily and shaking violently. His heart hammers inside his chest, thundering loudly in his ears.
Hot tears prickle behind Bobby's eyes. His breath hitches in his throat and he rolls over onto his side and cries.
