Well, we have been home since Friday when the last round of chemo ended. So far, we have spiked some fever yesterday and today, but ty God none of it has even gotten to 100.
This is the longest she's been able to be home so far. I'm delirious about it.
These shots that I have to give her for 14 days after the chemo is getting to be routine now, but the screaming she does when I get up and go in the kitchen every night at 8pm is horrid. I tell her "mamaw is so sorry Lan..." over and over. I know it's for her own good and she's gotta have them for her white count to stay up, but it's emotionally exhausting to do it day after day. After the shot she is so wore out she falls right to sleep. That's a good thang.
The home health nurses came out for 2 days and that's been it. First time was to show me how to give the shot, how much to put in it, etc. Second time was to watch me prepare, and then give the shot. I got "excellent"! Yippee lol
I'm totally still worried about her. I'm worried for me to a lil bit. What am I gonna do if the horrible thing happens? Go insane? Might do that yes.
Well I gotta be gettin my ass to bed. TTYAL! Hugssssssssssss
