Tonight my family and I watched "Secondhand Lions." On the DVD box it said that it was "the happiest movie of the year" and then it listed whatever year it was. 2003, probably. Maybe 2004. Anyway, my mom and my sister had already seen it, and they loved it. So had my grandparents, and it was their copy that we watched, though they had gone to bed around 11PM. Anyway, everyone that I've talked to that has seen it loved it, so my dad and I got to see it for the first time.
If I were to compare this movie, I would say it was very much like Big Fish, in that the story revolves largely around the telling of another story. This movie was the epitome of the "feel-good" movie; at the end, you just... felt good.
The only negative thing that I noticed about it was that it seemed to have not quite enough character development. Sure, you sympatized with all the characters, but it had a very out-of-body-experience feel to it. It is difficult to explain.
Anyway, It was an excellent movie, and I reccomend it.
