Tonight I saw "Kill Bill: Volume II" with Jason. I have to say that I loved it. I loved it about as much as I loved the first one. You have to understand that Quinten Tarantino humor is my kind of humor. When they blow the guy's brains out in the backseat of the car in Pulp Fiction and yell, "Holy crap! I didn't think it was going to do that!" when the blood splatters over the rear windshield, I cracked up. This movie made reference to or made fun of all kinds of things I'm into, like classic Jappanese samurai movies, or Spaghetti Westerns, or spy/,mercenary/assassin/heist movies.
One thing about this/these movies was the differences between the two. The first one had a lot (and I mean bucketfulls) of bloodshed. This movie, however, was much funnier. Not that the first one wasn't funny or that this one wasn't bloody! Heavens to Betsy, no! Another thing that was nice was that you could get by watching the 2nd movie without seeing the first one. Not that I would reccomend that, because I never and I mean NEVER watch/read things out of order. However, you can still get away with it. Now, if you're NOT into these kinds of movies, you will probably hate them both.
I really can't say much except that I really, really, really enjoyed this movie. *ala Reading Rainbow* ...but don't take MY word for it, see it yourself!
