Something more for you

Okay, I suppose I should actually start posting the other stuff in Ireland, rather than just the signs. That and it's far better than contemplating whether or not I'm actually sick. (I probably am)

That's Glendalough, an early monastic sit founded by people who followed St Kevin, who really just wanted to be left alone in his little cave in the mountain. The tall thing is a round tower, and they were used by the monks who would store valuable stuff in there. The entrance isn't until the second floor, so a ladder was the only way up or down- in times of trouble, the ladder would get pulled up after everyone went into the tower. These things are all over Ireland.

Walkway to Reefer Church...no, there was no pot there.

The drive through the Wicklow Mountains

Drombeg Stone Circle. This dates from the 2000 BC era, and the still don't really know what it was all about. The rocks are taller than I am (I know, it's not difficult), so it's hard to see how they could have moved them there, much less why. I always find this kind of ancient history amazing...
