So close...yet, so far!

Ok, well last Friday, May 28 was my 18th birthday, and it wasn't bad. My family and I went to Niagsra Falls and the place is pretty but gets boring quick. We went to Hard Rock for dinner and my Grandpa bought me a Hannah's Rum since I'm not 19 yet. It was good! Then he bought some Sangrias and Poppers back at camp. I didn't care for the Sangrias very much but the Poppers were good. We spent most of the weekend either at the camp or shopping. My Mom* bought a pipe and some screens for my Uncle, my Grandma was kind of pissed but it was funny. We joked around telling my Grandma that we were going to by this 4' "water-pipe". She didn't find it funny. Then we drove back down on Memorial Day, it got me out of having to march in the parade.

After we got back I went to JC Penny's so that I could spend my $50 gift card. I got it as a graduation gift from my Mom's Uncle and Aunt. I got these really nice pair of white pants for graduation, a black mini skirt, pink tank top with fishnet, a pair of pink fishnet hose, and a necklace and bracelet. Can you believe it, all that for under $50. I still had like $1.50 left.

Oh, I probably got one of the best graduation gifts ever! My Grandparents from Cali. bought me a portable DVD/CD-RW/CD/Video/TV player. It is so cool. I took it to school with me last Friday and my friends and I watched Scary Movie 3 on it. The teachers didn't care at all.

Yesterday, my Uncle Danny, Aunt Terri, and cousins got in from Oklahoma. We all went and saw Shrek 2 last night. Truthfully it was pretty funny. For my birthday they got me this really cool cd and a tank-top that says "Class of 2004." Then this morning before I left for work my Grandma and Papa from Oklahoma arrived. I was so happy to get to see them. I haven't seen them since Christmas. They gave me a scrap book for my birthday. One that is filled with pictures from when I was born all the way up until Prom last April. I started to tear up because the first thing my Grandma did was put the song lyrics to "Forever Young" on the first page. Unknown to her that is our graduating class song. Then tomorrow my Momma* comes in. I am so excited, no one knows. I have always been to one to go down and seen my mom since I moved here, but she is coming up to be at my graduation. I am just so glad that she is gonna be here. I know that I will cry when I see her, and when she leaves. Well I'll cry when everyone leaves. I just love my family that much!

It is amazing when you see all that your family will do for you. They would give their lives, let alone travel thousands of miles just to see you receive a piece of paper and leave a school. Right now everything is just kind of weird. I'm not that excited about Sunday coming. Right now it is like Graduation isn't even that big of a deal. Oh well! I love being out of school now. I get to be at work making money for the few people who I'm giving something to for Graduation and spend time with my family.

I feel bad because I am not giving something to everyone. Well a card, but if I were to give everyone lets say $20, then I would easily be out $400. And that isn't a lot but I'm just not pulling the money in fast enough to be able to have it by the time everyones open house comes around. I'm probably only giving out about half that; I'd say around $180 to $200.

Well I don't really have anything else to say so, bye. Joey
*for those of you who are confused about the mom --- momma references in the post. My Mom is actually my step-mother; Momma is my biological mother. The mom that I have refered to in past post is my step-mother.
