So, I want to take ballet this summer. I went to the RWB general school office and here's what happened.
Me (obviously excited): Hi! I'm interested in signing up for your adult rec dance program this summer!
Lady behind desk: *blink*
Me: *cute cmile*
Lady behind desk: I'll ask you to fill this out...
Me: (whips out the registration form) Done that!
LBD: *blink*
Me: So, I was wondering if I could sign up for level 1 ballet since I've had 6 years of dance experience. Not ballet, though. Is that okay?
LBD: (somewhat huffily): WELL, you need to have AT LEAST one year of BALLET experience.
Me: Well, yes. But you see, I took modern, and the positions are quite similar....
LBD: (importantly): WELL, modern and BALLET are two very different things. They're completely different. The syllabuses are very different.
My brain: I'M NOT IN KINDERGARTEN, LADY!
Me: Well, alright. It's just that...
LBD: You can try the level 1 but you might find it difficult and then you get no refund.
My brain: ARGHGNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LBD: So I suggest the beginner class for someone like you.
Anyway, so it looks like no ballet for me this summer because the beginner class starts five minutes after my kiosk shift would end. Not enough time for me to run from the Forks to RWB and change. Lise will kick my ass if I ask her for either Mondays or Wednesdays off in July.
Oh, and I got in Tara Birtwhistle's way when she was coming off the elevator. Not a good sign. I just feel like a klutz whenever I'm in that building...
