This past weekend I celebrated the wedding of two very nice people who love each other very, very much. At the wedding I saw lots of happy couples comprised of two very nice people I know who love each other very much, and one who is carrying a baby that they already love very much (okay, maybe only the female half is actually carrying the baby, but still). Love and music and a make-your-own mac and cheese bar were in the air!
I also found out that a friend of mine made the wedding cake. MADE THE CAKE. This four tier chocolate extravaganza with hand-painted yellow orchids and blue ... stuff. She's got like eight degrees (a B.A., B.S., Masters in Urban Planning, Certificate from Harvard) and can't find work. Soooo she's decided to spent the time in the interim turning her hobby into a business. Here is the website:
http://www.thesweetescapecakery.com/ Order a cake from her. Or volunteer to intern in her kitchen (she'll pay you in frosting!) and give her boyfriend a hand, because he is currently loading dishes nonstop and being "forced" to taste-test everything, thus growing out of his suits. He still looks dashing though. (He doesn't come with an order of her cake mix. I asked)
Also, Mark is home! Yay!
Also, I am done with my internship! Yayyyy! Two weeks off.
