I see new people....And I don't really give a shit at the moment.
...Okay, I will not lose my head this time. Need to think rationally ... It's not so bad... I should look at the positives....
+ I have captured and enslaved a vital member of the Avatar's adventuring party. Most likely the one with their battle strategy. It'll take some work but I think I can get it out of him.
+ Finally straightened out a rather irritating embroilment. (Finally)
+ I have my spies out so there's no way any information that might endanger my status should get by...
+ I have a degree of power back. Which is very nice. I like the ability to tell people to jump off a cliff and they listen.
But..however...there are so many downers...
- There is still the possibility the Avatar survived.
- This man attempted to slander my reputation. Now, if he wasn't so close to an ally (that I'd rather not lose at this given moment) I would have had to take more serious measures...Alas, I've hit a wall.
- The hostage is incredibly stubborn.
- My ex-girlfriend is pregnant. (Apparently with twins) And she claims she has confirmation that they are mine. While in hindsight this is a good thing because it means I'm currently able to carry on the royal bloodline while my sister is not, the fact that she wishes to strip them of their title is displeasing. If she is not willing to work things out I may have to take matters into my own hands. Which may or may not require imprisonment. It seems I may have to announce a fake betrothal to my father as I do not wish to suffer society's consequences for fathering out of wedlock.
- I pity what may happen to her when I have a talk with her family soon.
It seems I will not be getting much sleep for some time. There is a lot to do to make sure these various issues work out in my favor. With luck I should be able to get my father to sign over a couple of troops to me. That would work out quite nicely.
As a side note, several of you keep mentioning this "Halloween" thing and I do not see the point of it. I looked it up and it seems to be the most incredibly infantile reason for celebration. I would understand more if you still followed the old traditions behind it, but now it looks like no more than an excuse to find ways to get into trouble. There is something wrong with you people.
...With all that now in the record books, I think the hostage needs a little more interrogating.
