WTF??
Ok, this is killing me.
I just received a phone call from a Check Care place in Baton Rouge. Apparently, I wrote a hot check to Picadilly for $19.91. They want me to pay it. Problem #1: I don't eat at the Picadilly. Problem # 2 (and the biggest one of all as fare as I am concerned): The check was written in DECEMBER of 1998!
So, SIX years ago... and they are calling me now. I have refused to pay it until I see a copy of this check. She is supposed to be faxing it to me. We will see. This just takes the cake.
