(no subject)
Oh the joys of technology. Stephan and I spent a good chunk of this weekend fighting with my mom's desktop. She'd gotten a virus several weeks back, I got rid of it, and then the desktop started locking up, failing to boot, and wouldn't even let me repair install or install a new OS (be it vista or linux).
I'd figured earlier in the week when I first started messing with it that a sector of her hard drive had failed. We did some RAM tests to be safe, hoped it wasn't the motherboard trying to die, and installed a new Harddrive. Yay it works!
In the process of messing around with the computer I found an old flat panel monitor in a closet. After some hunting and parts swapping, I managed to hook it up to my desktop. Yay dual panels!
Computers aside, I had a really nice weekend with Stephan. We went out shopping, cuddled, and watched our shows together. Yesterday we went to a really nice Thai place for lunch.
