(no subject)
Doing a search on censorship leads you to some rather odd things.
Take this little gem for example. It claims "The Harry Potter book series is filled with fantastic images of hell, Catholicism, sissyism, and liberalism. We are also told that there is a movie series based on the books, and children are lining up to see it like lemmings, eager to be boot-kicked off the Heavenly cliff by Jesus himself, into the lake of fire!"
I rather liked this part: "Note to all Concerned Parents: We have it on good Godly authority that the 5th book in the series will reveal that the main character, "Harry Potter" actually KILLED HIS PARENTS! with a butcher knife!"
I must have missed that little detail when I read my copy of OotP. *snickers*
The little ad besides it proclaiming "Jesus says, 'Burn it! NOW!'" is quite charming, don't you think?
Then I came up with this link. Chris' particular favourite is "Harry uses a piece of wood to fly on, Jesus uses a piece of wood to die on".
