Is this chair not lovely? Would it not make the best of story-time chairs? The best of poetry chairs? The best of all chairs? Unfortunately it is horribly priced -- upwards of two thousand dollars! And as much as I like the happy birds and the Seussian color palette, I do not think that I will pay more than two thousand dollars for a chair, if even that. I am thinking that I would like to begin my own junk store adventures at the tender age of twenty-one; my mother's best furniture is decades old, junk store treasure and it would be fabulous to find and to recover an antique chair.
I was hired for a job today -- huzzah! Mostly thanks to the efforts of
moonglows. I'll be tutoring students with ADHD and LD, which is something I've always thought I should do and would enjoy (in spite of that certain professor who scoffed at the idea). So I should be starting next week and am looking forward to it.
The inlaws are coming tomorrow. I'm having coffee with
moonglows Sunday afternoon. On Friday, Kubrick will be vaccinated against the rabies. I'm having a bit of my hair cut-off on Saturday.
greenbedroom and I are going to the Rembrandt exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum on Sunday (which makes me glad, as I have been green and lonely for her company of late).
I should note that life has had a definite up-swelling since last weekend. Is it the purchase of a wedding cake, perchance?
