I read part 2 first, almost thought there was no point in reading part 1 afterwards; how wrong was I?? This is fabulous, I love the characterisations, I love all the flirting, especially Sam and Gabe, but what this fic has that is so magnetic is the literary theme. It's like you've invented a world for bookworms with all our favourite people in it, like the perfect fantasy. It feels so homely; I feel like I belong. I absolutely LOVE Ray Bradbury; my favourite novel of his is "Something Wicked this Way Comes". Anyone else read that? I grew up on science fiction and in the circles I move, I'm in a minority of one. Just want to ask, has anyone else read "The Stochastic Man" by Robert Silverberg? I think that story's fantastic, want to read it again, but never seem to be able to find it in the second hand bookshop (originally borrowed it from the library!) What I'm also grateful for, is the unashamed tips for booklovers; I love Richard Matheson stories, I never realised he wrote "I am Legend", so I now have an exciting read to look forward to. Also, Fight Club is one of my most favourite films, but I never realised it was adapted from a book. Thank you so much|
