Woe!

I have to write a Petrarchan sonnet for Monday's class. I...don't know how to do that. I mean, yeah, I get the fourteen-line abba-rhyme-scheme iambic-pentameter thing, but I don't write poetry. So, I'm very nervous. Anybody have any advice?

On another, only-marginally-related note, my fic-writing skills seemed to have dried up. This is bad, people. It's like I have a million little things floating around my head, and not a single one is inspiring. And I know fanfic isn't exactly something a writer should be proud of, but it's a release for me. (Do you know how frustrating it is to an English major in a program where there is no such thing as creative writing?) And the longer I go without getting something out there, the more antsy I become. Supernatural is back, but the only thing I wanna write for it is Dean-angst, and nobody wants to read that. *beats head against desk*

Urg. Is there anything more frustrating than having to write something for an assignment when you can't write for pleasure?

fic-related, rawr, is this normality?, yo-ho yo-ho the college life for me
