today i had a miserable experience. to sum it up without details: i became acutely aware that the world does not care about anything. it has no concern for knowledge or progress or even things like wisdom or love. i walked desparingly back from class. i wanted to talk to someone who would understand. i got out my phone to call my mom, with full awareness that she above all does not know me, and accidentally dialed my own number. i laughed and realized aloud to myself, "how appropriate."
