Baby Girl is beautiful, wonderful, wiggly, cuddly, smile-y and coo-ey, and I can't get enough of her. The idea of her getting bigger has made me cry every time I've let myself dwell on it. She's almost sitting by herself, which also made me cry. She still hates the car seat with the heat of a thousand suns. (Unless she doesn't.) We've tried everything short of knocking her out with street drugs (those are for Mommy) so please don't offer advice, else you get the glare that I glared at the Verizon tech this morning.
I hate Verizon with the heat of a thousand suns. We had no dial tone on our land line for nearly three weeks. That is CRAZY, it's not like we live in a rainforest or something. I don't even want to get into the reasons excuses, it's all a big steaming pile of bullshit mixed with incompetence and apathy, and I already deal with poop on a daily basis so I don't feel like pawing through that particular pile to disseminate it. Our "service" culminated in a cheerful Verizon tech ringing our doorbell at 8:30 am today -- unscheduled and unannounced, thanks so much -- while Glenn was in the shower, forcing me to answer the door dressed in a bathrobe and a big cranky glare, with a no-longer-sleeping baby on my hip. Asshole. So now we finally have our land line back, but Verizon can go pound sand. We're already in the queue for another phone service and once our cellphone contracts are up in June, we are dropping Verizon completely. Glenn wants an iPhone, and I don't care what we get as long as we don't pay Verizon one more cent. :)
Glenn and I visited ilostonjeopardy's and bonkoif's Dream Dinners kitchen last month. We are so hooked. Even if it was expensive (IT'S NOT) or it didn't save us money (IT DOES) I would still be hooked because it has made our lives so much easier it's not even funny. And the food is absolutely delicious! We're so happy we're going back this Saturday!
I went out for lunch twice last week! WHEEEEE!
