While it is winter, and I have some time on my hands, I am going to be making a bunch of stock for the upcoming faire season. I've also joined a Farmers Market so I'll be sewing some modern type things as well. One problem I know I have is that I have very few items less than $50, so I'm trying to come up with sewn goods with price points between $20 and $30. For the farmers market, one thing I will make will be re-usable bags. I have a bolt of "sail" material that would work wonderfully for this, and I think I could do them for $15.
For faires, I'm thinking pouches/bags, but I don't know that I'm sold on this. Lady May was over Saturday evening and Sunday and we sewed up a storm. She got a butterick pattern for pouches and they are very nice. I just don't think I go to buy pouches often. But it is something that is low on materials needs, and I can make in less than an hour.
Dunno.... Anyone think of something smallish you would like to see more of at faires?
